The Kyoto Museum of Raku Ware is a reimagining of the Raku pottery Museum in Kyoto, Japan. The new name and visual identity has been rebranded to better reflect the innovative nature of the 450 year old craft and attract a new and more diverse audience. The design is informed by the apparent opposites and asymmetry inherent in Raku ware; whilst central to all design decisions are the key principles and philosophy of Raku; simplicity, imperfection and balance.
